Show Profile — Why It Matters

Show Profile — Why It Matters

Your Show Profile tells Postflo Intelligence about your podcast or YouTube channel. It contains essential information that personalises every output we generate for your episodes.

What's in Your Show Profile

The Show Profile includes five key fields:

  • Show Name — The name of your podcast or YouTube channel
  • Host Name — Your name or the names of your co-hosts
  • Description — A brief overview of what your show covers
  • Category — The genre or topic area (e.g., Business, Comedy, Education)
  • Website — Your show's website or main social media profile

Why You Must Complete It First

Postflo requires a complete Show Profile before processing any episode. This ensures that all outputs — show notes, titles, descriptions, social media captions, clip suggestions, thumbnail text, and SEO metadata — are tailored specifically for your show.

Without this information, Postflo Intelligence cannot understand your show's context, tone, or audience. The result would be generic outputs that don't match your brand or style.

How It Personalises Your Outputs

Postflo Intelligence uses your Show Profile alongside your AI Preferences to customise every piece of content it generates. Your show details help ensure that:

  • Titles and descriptions match your show's style and category
  • Social media captions reflect your brand voice
  • Show notes include relevant context about your show
  • SEO metadata targets the right audience and topics
  • Clip suggestions align with your content format

What Happens if It's Incomplete

If any required field in your Show Profile is missing or empty, you cannot submit episodes for processing. Postflo will redirect you to complete your profile before allowing episode submissions.

This safeguard prevents poor-quality outputs that would result from insufficient show context.

Updating Your Show Profile

You can update your Show Profile at any time through your account settings. Changes apply immediately to new episode submissions. Previously processed episodes retain their original outputs unless you reprocess them.

Common reasons to update your Show Profile include:

  • Rebranding your show or changing its name
  • Adding or removing co-hosts
  • Expanding into new topics or categories
  • Updating your website or main social presence
  • Refining your show description as your content evolves
